The Team

There's more behind grossbyte than just one developer. Here's the team that keeps things running – with code, coffee, and cat chaos.

Christopher

Fullstack Developer · AI Orchestrator · Geek

I've been writing code since 2005 – starting with a browser game I built myself that was later sponsored by gamigo. Since 2018 I've been fully self-employed, working remotely on an hourly basis, sometimes solo and sometimes as a reinforcement for existing teams. I build things that work – from architecture to deployment, with real craftsmanship and AI as a multiplier.

20 years of experience. The problems don't change – but AI makes me solve them many times faster.

Lydia

Head of Finance · Operations · UX-Terrorist

Lydia knows numbers, people, and the difference between a good and a bad process. As an accountant she has an eye for what really matters – and as someone who handles personnel and internal tools, she knows exactly when something is too complicated. Introducing new software, optimising workflows, trying out AI tools before the rest of the team gets to them – that's her territory. Her verdict on software is short and precise. Usually a single word.

When she says 'No one will understand this', she's right. Every time.

Ori, Senior Bug Hunter

$ find . -name '*.bug' | wc -l

Ori

Bengal Cat · Senior Bug Hunter · Keyboard Reviewer

Ori is a Bengal cat and full-time quality assurance. He walks across the keyboard at exactly the wrong moment, looks over your shoulder during deployments, and gives feedback in his own way – usually by deliberately deleting code. His judgement is tough but fair. Mostly.

Once found a critical bug by deliberately sitting on the Backspace key. The bug was reproducible.

Yoshi, Happiness Officer

Yoshi

Bengal Cat · Happiness Officer · Anti-Burnout Expert

Yoshi is the emotional foundation of the team. While Ori handles quality, Yoshi takes care of the most important thing: making sure there's still someone around to write code. He demands breaks, sits on laptops, and ensures the person at the desk doesn't forget there's a life outside the IDE.

Officially the only team member who has never caused a merge conflict. Trackpad incidents don't count.

A DAY WITH US

  1. 09:00

    Coffee & Commits

Mornings belong to Christopher and the code. First coffee, first commits, first bugs. Ori and Yoshi are still asleep – the window of quiet is short.

  2. 10:00

    Standup with Ori

Ori personally checks the state of things. Sits on the keyboard, delivers feedback through targeted code deletion, and disappears. Daily complete.

  3. 12:00

    Lunch with Lydia

The best UX feedback comes from across the table. 'Why is that button there?' and 'I would never click that' – questions that sting, but always make things better.

  4. 15:00

    Client Call

Lydia keeps things quiet in the background. The cats mostly stick to the agreement. Emphasis on mostly.

  5. 18:00

    End of Day

Quitting time isn't announced around here – Yoshi just sits on the laptop. No arguments.

  6. 20:00

    Late Night Idea

The best ideas come in the evening on the couch. Quickly type it into the phone before Ori sits on it and opens the notes app.
