Vue & Nuxtfreelancer Hamburg

I build web applications with Vue.js and Nuxt – as a freelancer since 2018, with more than 20 years of web development experience. New project, extra hands for your team or a migration: fast, clean and maintainable.

What I do

From the first setup to a production-ready application – or as reinforcement for your existing project.

New Vue & Nuxt applications

Architecture, setup and implementation of web applications with Nuxt and Vue – using the Composition API, TypeScript and a structure that still makes sense two years from now.

Reinforcement for your team

I join existing projects, get up to speed with the codebase quickly and deliver from week one.

Migration to Vue 3 & Nuxt 4

From Vue 2 and Nuxt 2 to the current stack – step by step, without a big-bang release and without bringing day-to-day business to a halt.

Performance, SSR & SEO

Server-side rendering, clean metadata, structured data and fast load times – so your application doesn't just look good, but also gets found.

Accessibility

Semantic HTML, ARIA, focus management and support for contrast and transparency preferences. Accessibility from day one – not as an afterthought.

Components & design systems

Reusable component libraries with Tailwind CSS, Vuetify or shadcn-vue – consistent, documented and easy to extend.

How I work

No back and forth through project managers. You talk directly to the developer who writes your code.

1. Intro & assessment

In a short call we clarify goals, scope and the current state of the project. You get an honest assessment – even if it says Vue isn't the best fit.

2. Specification & tickets

Thinking comes before code: requirements are turned into clear tickets. That saves rework and makes progress transparent at any time.

3. Short iterations

I develop AI-assisted using spec-driven development – fast, but with tests, code review and linting. You see results early and can steer at any time.

4. Handover & further development

Well-documented code your team can take over – or I stay on board as your contact for maintenance and new features.

Frequently asked questions

No. I'm based in Hamburg, but I work remotely for clients all over Germany and beyond. For clients in and around Hamburg, meeting in person is always an option.
Hourly. After our first call you get a realistic estimate of the effort – no lowball offers, no hidden costs.
Yes, that's actually a large part of my work. I get up to speed with existing codebases quickly, follow your conventions and work with your team rather than next to it.
Vue 2 has not received any updates since the end of 2023 – not even security fixes. A migration is almost always worth it. The key is to approach it step by step so the project keeps running in the meantime.
Both are mature. Vue and Nuxt stand out with a gentle learning curve, clear structure and strong SSR support. I work with both and will tell you honestly what fits your project and team.
In a structured way, not blindly: specification first, then implementation with AI assistance, then review. That means more output per hour without sacrificing quality. Responsibility for the code stays with me.
