PetTrack
A real journal for your pets – feeding, weight and more.
What can PetTrack do?
- A journal for your pets – feeding, weight, excretions, notes and photos in one timeline.
- Three taps to an entry – pick a pet, pick an action, done.
- GitHub-style heatmap for 365 days and weight charts per pet.
- Medication tracked as notes today – dedicated tracking is on the roadmap.
- External triggers – Flic buttons, Shelly, Aqara or Home Assistant can fire entries.
- Self-hosted via Docker – your data stays on your server.
Why I built this
PetTrack started out as a tool for our two cats. Most pet apps are either locked to a single species, packed with ads, or living in someone else's cloud that can be shut down tomorrow.
So I built it myself – as an honest journal for multiple pets. Feeding, weight, excretions, notes and photos all land in the same timeline. External hardware triggers are built in, because a Flic button on the food bowl is sometimes the most honest tracking method.
PetTrack will soon be published on GitHub – open source, self-hostable, no account required.
